Day 6

Today was our last day so we decided to just hang by the pool all day. .We lucked out because it was the best day yet for weather. We both got a LOT of SUN! YEA! It was a great day by the lovely pool! Great finish to a great vacation!

Dinner today was back at the La Tratorria Italian Restaurant. This time I had spinach and mushroom creamed ravioli and Ryan had the other filet migon dish. Both were delicious. I had fruit sushi and ryan had chocolate mousse for dessert. Its going to be hard going back home and cooking ourselves and eating boring food!

The show after dinner was a fire and drums show. Again, the shows here are very good! The provide a lot of entertainment here......always someting to do! If you ever come to Cancun....I would totally recommmend this place! I have nothing bad to say about it and neither has anyone else we have talked to!

Now, it was off to bed since we have to get up and pack! I probably wont write anything tomorrow since i'll be crying the entire morning!!! Hope you enjoyed following our vacation! Hope it didn't make you too jealous:) We are already planning a trip back for next year sometime....anyone is welcome to join us...seriously!

Day5

Again, sorry this is late....We are leaving today but I will still talk about the past 2 days I have missed.

Wednesday, we took a tour to Isla De Mujeres. It means Island of the Women. We took a ferry over to the Island, which was a blast because the crew was very entertaining, just look at the pics! Not to mention, the color of the water on the way over! CRAZY TURQUOISE! Once to the island, we took a boat and went snorkeling with a group of about 15 others. We saw some very colorful fish. At one point, we were surrounded by about 100 or more little fish. All about 3 to 6 inches long...it was pretty cool after you got over the fact:) We saw a couple Barracuda's...one was probably 4 feet long. We also got to touch a live sea urchin and starfish. A couple of us also got to see a large stingray before it swam away rather quickly. We both say that snorkeling was the best part of the trip!

AFter snorkeling, we had access to the Palace "sister" resort on the island. We had lunch and laid by the beach and pool there. Its a lot smaller resort than ours...but quaint and nice.

We then took a tour to the downtown shopping area and did some bartering. We got a wood Mayan face carving..the price started with one guy at 250$. We got him down to 80$. We passed on that though. The 2nd guy started at 55$. We got him down to 45$ and figured that was a good deal. So we bought that one. The next stop had some as well and he offered us 30$!!!!! SHUX!!!!! oh well....lesson learned....keep going DOWN!

The trip back to the mainland on the boat got a litle crazy as they poured tequila mixed with the juice in everyone's mouth.....it was funny.....a couple old guys beat everyone else! Go figure! It was a great tour!

Dinner tonight was back at Arricefes...the brazillian place we ate at the 1st night. Ryan had to go back. Im glad we did too...it is yummo! We got to try Lamb so that was cool.....ntot great,....but now we can say we've had it......After dinner....it was another show by the pool. The Circus show....look at the pics.....the 3 guys that did strength tricks were AWESOME!

Day 4- Wet N Wild

Today, we went to Wet 'N Wild. Its a water park....and.....it had SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS! Which, if any of you know me....it has always been my life long dream. Well, now it is a DREAM COME TRUE! Thanks to my wonderful husband who let me do it while he sat and waited:) It was awesome! I got to kiss the dolphin, get a ride from two of them, dance with them, and have them swim around me. AMAZING! It lasted for about an hour. I was with a group of 7 people. It was the BEST!

After that, we just laid around the water park and went on all the rides. Weather today was better....still a lot of clouds, but the sun did shine more:) YEA!

We got back to the Moon Palace around 3:30. I had a massage scheduled at the spa so I was off to that. I left Ryan sitting by the pool. My massage was great...I felt a little out of sorts afterwards because I was so relaxed!

We both showered and got pretty for dinner. It was back to the Golf and Spa lobby for dinner. We ate at La Tratorria, an Italian place. We started the meal out with Caprese....which was the only appetizer we could make out enough that sounded good to us. This place was fancy....Caprese ended up being a half of tomato with mozzarella chz and olive oil on top. ACtually, not bad. Ryan got Filet Migon and a side of pasta. I got Chicken Kiev. Both were fabulous. Dessert for me was Creme Brulet...Ryan had bread pudding. Again, both delic! Oh, we also had an entire bottle of white zinfandel between the 2 of us for dinner. Which probably explains why I am writing about yesterday, tonight, instead of getting it out here right away last night. whoops! its vacation, right?

After dinner, we watched the MAyan Show here at the resort. The shows here are impressive. We finished the night at the bar with couches right on the beach! Very cool!

Day 3

ok...today might be a little more detailed since i am actually writing this tonight and not trying to remember the days before!

We didn't wake up til 7 today....shux! but again, we got coffee and had breakfast. Weather seems to be better at this point already......no rain! yea! We decided since there was still a chance of rain, that we would just hang out at our resort for the day again. It ended up being a fairly decent day. Just windy and kinda cloudy. The sun did shine though....its going to be REALLY HOT when it actually shines the whole day! Bring it on though!

the funniest part of the day is probably when we decided it was time for a swim in the pool. There was a part when you first got in that was about 1 foot deep. Then, it dropped off to about 4 feet deep. Apparently ryan thought it dropped only another foot or so because he definitely just tried "walking" into the 4 foot deep area. I thought it was funny....Him...not so much! he doesnt like water up his nose....who knew!

After a long day by the pool, I decided to use some of our free spa treatments and go get a pedicure at the golf and spa part of the resort. It was great! My toes are looking vacation ready now! Tomorrow- i have a massage scheduled.....aaahh! cant wait!

Dinner tonight was at a Mexican Restaurant....gotta do that when you are in MEXICO! It was my favorite so far......When you sat down, the waiter came over and prepared fresh guacamole right there at your table. For dessert, we both had Mayan Coffee. They prepare it by lighting in on fire. Very cool and very yummy! They put sombreros on you for dessert time as well.....Ryan loved his:) He wants to take it home.....just ask him.....

After dinner, we walked around the resort a little bit and took a seat at a bar area on the beach, only about 50 feet from the ocean. Perfect surroundings! We have decided that we aren't leaving......

Day 2

We woke up at 6am to the sun rising over the ocean out our window. We went and grabbed coffee and took a walk on the beach. Then it was time for Breakfast.....again...yummo! Everything you could want for breakfast and more!

The weather was not so great today. It was mostly cloudy and rainy/sprinkles all day. It would be sunny for a while and then sprinkle and then rain....off and on all day. But we still sat by the pool and just hovered under the tiki huts when it rained. Still beats being back home!

Dinner tonight was Italian. We decided to try the buffet at our lobby- yes there are 2, no 3 lobbies. Ours, called Nizuc, Sunrise, and the golf/spa lobby. The 1st buffet was not the italian we are used to. We decided to leave and go to the other one at Sunrise Lobby. This one was more what we were thinking and we definitely got our fill there. Very good! We fell in love with there banana ice cream!

After dinner, we hit the comedy show. It was a guy from Boston......he was pretty funny. A little risky at times....but overall....very funny! They have shows here everynight you can go to.

Off to bed....a little later this time....oh well...its vacation....who needs to sleep!

Day 1- arrival

We arrived at the Moon Palace around 2pm after a 50$ shuttle to go 3 miles from the airport...oh well! Within 5 minutes, we already had drinks in our hands while waiting in line to check in! We could get used to this!

After getting to our room, we unpacked and walked around a little bit. ok, a lot....this place is HUGE! We came back to the room to shower for dinner. First, we switched rooms to a higher floor to get a better view! Great choice!

Dinner,.....was heaven for Ryan. We ate at the Brazillian Restaurant...the ones where you have a green and red card.....green means keep bringin the meat and red means stop. Needless to say.....Ryan was already impressed with this place at that point! It was yummo!

Then it was off to bed...we want to enjoy our mornings so we need our sleep!
